I remember when I was young and someone would ask me, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” “A peterinarian” I would say. Obviously, I meant to say veterinarian but my mom thought it was too cute to correct me. Considering I am the type of person who cannot get a shot or see blood without fainting, it became apparent to me that being a “peterinarian” was not in my future. By the time it was senior year of high school I decided it was time to get serious about my degree choice. After doing some research the decision became simple. Public relations is a major unlike any other. It takes a persistent and determined person to succeed in this major. Pursuing a degree in public relations has allowed me to incorporate my logical, type A personality, as well as my creative side. It is an ever changing, fast-paced, relationship built career where there is never a dull moment.
